Guaranteed Rate Field has been the home of the Chicago White Sox since it opened in 1991 as the new Comiskey Park, later renamed U.S. Cellular Field before adopting its current name in 2016. It was the first modern ballpark built during the wave of new stadium construction that swept baseball in the 1990s and 2000s.
